We Can Do Better
Over the past several years, we have watched our local government stray from the community, make closed session deals, prioritize developers, avoid, circumvent, or skirt transparency and make risky decisions that impact us all.
We have seen our personal finances impacted by increased costs for the delivery of Village services, projects not going as scheduled, and lack of planning for infrastructure updates (technology in particular) resulting in increased property taxes and water fees while our economy was experiencing historically high inflation and border line recession, causing further individual pressures.
We have also seen erosion of inter/intra governmental relationships. I am committed to returning civility and respect back to interactions between the board, the community, and its partners.
My goals are clear: responsible fiscal management, sensible growth, better village board governance, better village operations oversight, and a government that is transparent, responsive, and accountable to the people of our community.
I bring an extensive background that will help drive rebuilding public trust in the board, prioritizing fiscal responsibility and a sustainable plan for upcoming capital needs, improved relationships with the school district and Town of Germantown, clarity and transparency for the community as it relates to governance, and provide common-sense leadership for Germantown into the future.
We need to feature all that is great about our community and most importantly that this Village is “Open for Business”!
We can do better, and we will.
